Basic Rules
Customers get free access to our entire board game library, without having to pay any hourly fees. Since we are a restaurant, we do require a food and beverage purchase. We suggest about 1-1.5 hours to enjoy food, drinks, and games. We do not enforce a time limit, however if we are full, please try to be mindful of how long you’ve stayed. We want to ensure that all customers get a chance to enjoy the experience. If you’re looking to play a longer, more strategic game or games that take up a lot of table space, we recommend coming in on days where we do not have a waitlist.

What is a "Board Game Pizzeria"?
A “Board Game Pizzeria” is our take on the “board game cafe” concept. It’s a place where you can order food and drinks, all while playing your favorite board games from our extensive library, without having to pay an hourly fee. We also have our retail section, which functions as a board game store with one of the best board game selections in Albuquerque.
Can we eat and play games?
We want you to enjoy our food and our games. We just ask that you respect the library and clean your hands before touching games.
Can we make a reservation?
We usually use a first come first serve policy. We do, however, have options to make a reservation for larger groups. For more information on how to reserve, click here.
Why don't you serve slices? It's in your name.
Our name blends slices of pizza and dice from games. “Pie and die” just didn’t sound as good. We do offer small 10″ pies for those looking for smaller portions.
We don't know what to play. What do we do?
Get with our Game Guides and they will provide suggestions based on what you’re looking for. Do you want a party game that will get everyone involved and laughing? Or maybe you want a strategy game where you can crush your opponent with your wits.
Whatever it is you’re looking for, let us know and we’ll do our best to choose a game that your group can enjoy.
Can I bring my own games?
We have a large selection in our board game library, however you are allowed to bring your own games as well. Any game purchased from our retail section can also be played in the restaurant (if our staff knows it, we will be happy to teach it to you).
Can I bring my own food?
We do NOT allow outside food and drink. The only exception is sweet treats (cakes, cupcakes, and cookies) for group celebrations and reserved parties. We ask that you don’t bring ice cream or ice cream cake because we have no area to store it for you.
Where do we return used games to?
We want to ensure that every game you pick up from the shelf is clean, has all of its pieces, and is ready to play. This is why we ask that you return your game to the designated “game return” area, so our staff can provide a good gaming experience.
What if we want to play a game at home?
If you played a game from our library that you love, there is a good chance that there is a copy for sale in our retail section that you can purchase and bring home with you.
Do you have options for dietary restrictions?
Yes! Whether you’re vegan, dairy-free, or gluten-free, we have options. We offer vegan cheese and vegan pepperoni. We also have vegan sausage exclusively at our Eastside location. Additionally, we have vegan meatball sub sandwiches. As for gluten-free options, we have gluten-free hoagie bread, and a 10 inch gluten-free cauliflower pizza crusts. If you have an allergy to an item we serve, please tell our staff so we can take precautions to help you enjoy your food safely.
